Since beginning 4-blocks Working With Words, I had many parents confused over the Making Words Block. I had to come up with a lesson to help them at our back to school night (which at my school is parents/guardians only - no children). 

• I am going to have on the students desks the letters: a e n p r r s t.

• Then I will have them start making words:

and my Mystery Word will be Partners. 

• All of this will show them how to do making words AND lead into my discussion of how the parents and I are PARTNERS in their child=s education.
